The electromagnetic environment is becoming ever more complex, requiring more understanding from a variety of roles. Although it is the responsibility of manufacturers and suppliers of equipment to demonstrate its compliance with the latest EMC Directive, it is essential for specifiers and designers of new equipment to understand its possible effects on the existing EM environment. The course will take you through the requirements of the EMC Directive and strategies for meeting them.

The programme gives an introductory insight into the practical test and design aspects of existing and future products, which are covered in greater detail in our EMC Measurement Techniques and Art of Designing for EMC courses.

Topics included within the course:

·          Overview - what is EMC?
·          EMC Directive and regulations
·          EMC standards
·          Designing for EMC
·          EMC testing and measurement
·          EMC management
·          Course review and questions
·          Viewing of anechoic chamber.
