RoHS Directive Supplier Audit Form
The RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC) requires producers to comply by 1 July 2006. Failure to do so may result in enforcement action including preventing sale of products in the EU.
ERA has considerable experience providing industry with guidance on RoHS. The UK’s Department of Trade and industry (DTI) and the European Commission’s Technical Adaptation Committee (TAC) have incorporated much of this guidance into proposed UK legislation.
A common problem for any company in the supply chain (producer, sub assembly manufacturer, distributor, component manufacturer etc.) is knowing whether the information from their suppliers is accurate and adequate. To help address this ERA has developed a Supplier RoHS Audit Form. The form is intended particularly for gaining information from suppliers prior to a visit or when this is impractical. It is designed to assist the supplier in providing the information required by you but also asks probing questions which will test how well your supplier actually understands what is required.
The Supplier RoHS Audit Form is based on ERA's extensive knowledge of the practical requirements for RoHS compliance working with legislators, enforcement authorities and industry worldwide. The audit is comprehensive and covers the following issues:
- RoHS Directive requirements and the audited company's policy
- Evidence of Compliance - Materials declarations
- Component suppliers
- Higher risk components, parts and materials supplied or used in products
- How the audited company assesses its own suppliers
- Analysis of selected parts
The audit package comprises two parts:
- Supplier RoHS Audit Form with guidance on terminology and how to complete the form (to be sent to the supplier)
-
Supplier RoHS Audit - Accompanying guidance. This is not sent to your supplier but used by you to assess the quality of the response received Please see the terms and conditions before purchasing. *Please see terms and conditions before purchasing
